Thermal baths, wellness and spa

In Budapest city - in a unique way in the world – we have 123 thermal springs. These sources provide 70 million liters (!) of warm and lukewarm waters, which are rich in various minerals. This water is primarily used in thermal spas, but is also used in bottled form, and we can drink it from the tap.

The diversity of the content and options provide extension of already initiated programs to wellness lovers, so they can test different new treatments and exercises. For the good mood definitely one needs a lot of swimming, than shorter or longer relaxation in one of the hot thermal pools. And let's not forget, in most spas and pools we can find a whole variety of additional wellness services. In many thermal baths in Budapest, next to a swimming pool (with swimming temperature water) - especially in the summer season - there are various other options: relaxing in the thermal hot water, enjoying nature, all-day offer of refreshments, massages and facial and body treatments.

Healing Drinking Waters

A glass of water from any natural healing spring certainly feels good. In Szécsényi, Rudas and Lukács there are rooms for water drinking, and in front of Gellért an external source provides refreshment to the thirsty people. The best known water with healing effect is ‘Paradi’ and ‘Salvus’, and can be purchased in pharmacies and in larger stores.

It is good to know that Budapest has excellent drinking water against thirst, and its categorization among European urban waters keeps a very good position.
